Now that "Studio 60 On the Sunset Strip" has aired its final episodes, it’s instructive to see again how it all began: with Judd Hirsch’s Chayefsky-esq (see: "Network") rant about the impact of modern TeeVee on our politics and culture:
Critics can take the series to task for whatever flaws they want to dwell on, but the simple fact is that the industry (and the country) are a tad poorer when it can’t find an hour each week for a program as erudite and challenging as "Studio 60."
