TeeVee in the 1930’s: Paramount Newsreel Footage

Apparently this outfit has obtained the rights to show this footage, originally released in 1936 by Paramount's "Eyes and Ears of the World" newsreel service.  It's a good reflection of how TeeVee looked and worked in its formative years.  Click the image to open the page with the video:

 (I think the date that appears on this opening screen shot is wrong, my recollection is this newsreel was shot/released in 1936.  But whothehell really knows…?

  • I am glad it was appropriately punished. I don’t work in a big agency, i am an independent, so I don’t have any insight into how agencies bill, but I know how I do it, and there is no padding there, so for others to muddy that up is pretty irritating indee
